THESE TERMS OF USE GOVERN YOUR USE OF THE SPLITTABTM APPLICATION AND SPLITTAB.ME WEBSITE AND RELATED SERVICES. ACCORDINGLY, PLEASE READ THESE TERMS BEFORE USING THE SITE AND SERVICES.

Terms Of Use
This agreement is an electronic contract that sets out the legally binding terms ("Terms") governing your use of the Site and the services available to you on the Site as described more fully below (the "Services"). Each time you use the Site and Services, you signify that you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue using the Site and Services. The Site is owned by Benevolent Tech Company LLC. All references to "us", "our", or "we" will be deemed to be Benevolent Tech Company LLC.
Updates to Terms. Benevolent Tech Company LLC reserves the right to update or change these Terms at any time by posting the most current version of the Terms on the Site. Benevolent Tech Company LLC will provide notice of changes to the Terms by posting the new Terms on the Site with a new Effective Date shown. All such changes in the Terms shall be effective from the Effective Date set when it is posted on the Site or Services. Your continued use of the Site after we post any changes to the Terms signifies your agreement to any such changes. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue using the Site and Services
Electronic Form. By accessing the Site or using a Service, you consent to have these Terms and other notices provided to you in electronic form.
Corporate Entity. Benevolent Tech Company is a registered LLC in the State of Virginia.
Description: SplitTabTM (the service) is a service that allows the user to capture bills in digital form via optical character recognition or manual entry and share the bill with AUTHORIZED USERS via URL. In addition users may store and share usernames for third party applications such as Venmo or Cashapp as well as cryptocurrency addresses to receive payment. We offer the SplitTab TM service "as-is" without a warranty. SplitTabTM is a work-in-progress, so some features of our website and apps may not work exactly as planned. We may stop offering or restrict certain services or features at any time. You agree that this service is provided AS-IS and on an AS AVAILABLE basis.
Who can use SplitTabTM: You may use our services only if you agree to these Terms of Service and to the processing of your information as described in our Privacy Policy. To use the Services, you must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in jurisdiction from which you access the service and not be prohibited by law from using the Services.
Conditions of use: You agree that you will use the Service for its intended purpose, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations: local, state, and national, and international, as applicable. You agree not to use the service in a fraudulent, disruptive, aggressive, manipulative, for money laundering, or any other inappropriate matter. SplitTabTM reserves the right, but has no obligation, to investigate your use of the service for compliance with appropriate use and terminate your access to the Service, or in order to comply with law, regulation, legal process or government request.
What you represent: You agree to represent yourself honestly, that all of the information you provide is true, correct, and current, to the best of your knowledge, and that you have the necessary rights, power, authority, and age to agree to these Terms and to perform the acts required of you by the agreement.
No warranty: Benevolent Tech Company LLC does not represent that the Service is error-free, complete, or can be relied upon. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED 'AS IS' AND 'AS AVAILABLE' WITH NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND AND YOU ARE USING THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK. BENEVOLENT TECH COMPANY LLC DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY, IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE, REGARDING THE SERVICE, INCLUDING WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, INCLUDING FOR SPLITTABTM PREMIUM.
Termination and Refusal of Service: Your access to the Service may be terminated at any time, for any reason, at Benevolent Tech Company LLC's sole discretion.
Privacy and Security: In order to provide the services to you we collect some of your Personal Information. We describe our collection and use of personal information in our Privacy Policy. Please review this policy. You must agree to the processing of your data as laid out in that policy in order to use our services. You agree that Benevolent Tech Company LLC. may disclose personal information provided to us, including data entered into the site, if required to by law or government request such as a warrant, or as specified in the Privacy Policy. You must be 18 years or older to use this service. You are responsible for preventing unauthorized access to your account.
Paid features: Some users may have access to purchasing "SplitTabTM Premium," to gain access to several extra features such as additional payment methods, importing an image of a bill for processing, reduced advertisements, and other additional features or services. Payments for SplitTabTM Premium are collected via in app purchases and may be managed through the iTunes or Google Play Store. The price at which SplitTabTM Premium is offered may vary due to date of purchase, country, local taxes and regulations, promotions, and Benevolent Tech Company LLC reserves the right to change the price and subscription benefits at its sole discretion. If you have issues with our SplitTabTM Premium subscription or would like to request a refund, please email contact@splittab.me(we reserve the right to offer or refuse refunds at our sole discretion). SplitTabTM Premium access may be suspended for insufficient payment. SplitTabTM reserves the right to offer or refuse Premium subscriptions for any reason at our sole discretion.
Indemnification: You agree to hold Benevolent Tech Company LLC., its employees, agents, and representatives, as harmless and indemnify Benevolent Tech Company LLC. from any third party claim arising from or in any way related to your use of the Service, including liability or expense arising from all claims, losses, damages (actual and consequential), suits, judgments, litigation costs, and attorney fees, of every kind and nature.
Modifications to the Agreement: You agree that Benevolent Tech Company LLC may modify this agreement at any time, effective immediately, by posting a new agreement. You agree that even if you have not personally visited the website with the new terms of this agreement, that they may have force immediately.
Severability: If any part of this agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the provision shall be deemed to be superseded by a valid enforceable provision in its place that closely matches the intent of the original agreement, and all other parts of the agreement shall be enforced.
Exercise: You agree that the failure of Benevolent Tech Company LLC. to exercise or enforce any part of this agreement and terms does not constitute a waiver of the rights of provisions of this agreement.
Jurisdiction: You agree that this entire agreement (including Privacy Policy) shall be interpreted according to the laws of the State of Virginia.
Venmo, Cashapp and Other Payment Services: Some users will have access to other payment functions of other companies through links on the SplitTabTM website or apps (for example, Venmo or Cashapp). These links / API integrations will initiate a payment or request by pre-populating some information (such as username, email address, phone number, amount or notes) as part of payments completed on a third party payment system, similar to an email "mailto" link. You agree to abide by the terms of service of any payment service linked to by SplitTabTM, and you agree that Benevolent Tech Company LLC is in no way responsible or liable for transactions and service provided by a third party linked to or from the SplitTabTM service.
Potential Losses: Users may suffer potential losses through the use of this application. The following are possible scenarios in which a potential loss to the user may occur. This list is not exhaustive, there may be other scenarios in which a potential loss can occur.
User may input incorrect payment method usernames or cryptocurrency addresses. In this case, the user will not be able to receive payment. In addition users making a payment will send payment to the wrong recipient. When submitting a payment method, you must ensure that the payment method is correct. When making a payment you must ensure that the recipient is correct.
Shared bill may contain mispriced, missing, or additional items. In addition tax and tip amounts may be incorrect. This application uses optical character recognition technology to read data from scanned or imported receipts which may be unable to accurately capture data contained in the receipt. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the shared bill is correct.
The application calculates the total amount of money owed to the user. Errors in the application may result in a miscalculated amount. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that the total amount owed or to pay is correct.
No Liability: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL BENEVOLENT TECH COMPANY LLC BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING EMOTIONAL DISTRESS) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER OR NOT YOU HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL BENEVOLENT TECH COMPANY LLC. BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY AMOUNT FOR SERVICES RENDERED PURSUANT TO THIS AGREEMENT.
Entire agreement: These Terms comprise the entire agreement between you and Benevolent Tech Company LLC. with respect to the above subject matter.
